Substitute Support Staff

Chesaning Union Schools is in need of support staff substitutes. These positions are not full time positions but would allow for a person to be contacted if a substitute is needed in one of the below positions.

Listed below are some typical duties of a support staff substitute:

Monitor

  • Morning, noon and afternoon shifts available between 7:30am and 3:30pm

  • Ensuring students safety (upon arrival, lunch, recess and departure)

  • Monitoring behavior

  • Cleaning duties such as wiping tables, cleaning floors, trash removal, etc.

Kitchen

  • Serving lunch and or breakfast to students

  • Cleaning after serving

Custodial

  • Assisting with cleaning and caring for all of our buildings, students and staff.

  • Training provided, must be flexible to work second shift and by yourself.

  • Qualified candidates must be willing to learn new skills, lift, bend, kneel, squat, carry and walk during shifts.

Substitute Teacher - $125 per day!

If you work 10 days in one month, you will receive an extra $100 bonus!

Requirements: Individuals selected to this position must be able to administer lesson plans, while creating an optimal learning environment for students. The successful candidate should have the ability to work with students of varied age groups and be able to interact with faculty and staff in a professional manner.

Additional requirements include; excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to lead. Must possess 60 credit hours and be able to pass a background check. Please call Central Office 989.845.7020 for any further questions.
