Today, a number of Michigan school districts received internet-based phone calls with threats, which have since been proven false. These incidents are part of a hoax known as “swatting” that is targeting schools across the state. While Chesaning Schools did not experience this issue directly, we know many of our families have heard about these incidents and are understandably concerned about school safety. The millage will not affect taxes on your primary residence. Voter approval of this millage provides funding for basic day-to-day operations and allows our district to receive full State Aid. Here are a few reminders: When you drop your student off in the morning, please use the loop in front of the school. When you are picking up in the afternoon, please do not park beyond the cones.
